What this result means
The calculator multiplies length, width, and height, then divides by the divisor you enter and rounds up for a planning result. The result is intentionally labeled as an estimate because a number can be mathematically correct while the input, unit, rule, product, or real-world application is wrong. Keep the entries with the result so another person can reproduce it.

Worked example
An 18-by-12-by-10-inch box produces different dimensional weight under different current service rules. Compare the estimate with actual scale weight. Change one value at a time to see which assumption has the greatest effect. Do not round until the end unless the current rule says otherwise.
